A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Batrina is deeply invested in the success and growth of her community. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother, roles that further shape her commitment to creating meaningful, equitable opportunities for learners of all ages.

Her work is grounded in a strong belief in educational equity and high-quality instruction. Batrina is currently pursuing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, strengthening her expertise in evidence-based literacy practices and instructional design. Through The Literacy Hive, she provides intentional, personalized services designed to build confidence, develop essential skills, and empower individuals to reach their personal and professional goals.
