Thank you for visiting The Literacy Hive, LLC. I am a two-time graduate of McNeese State University, holding a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Secondary Education. I am a certified educator in Louisiana with an ELA Content Leader endorsement. With over 20 years in education, I have served as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor, instructional coach, and, currently, as an assistant principal of curriculum. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, I am deeply invested in my community. 

As someone born into poverty and a first-generation college graduate, I understand the power of education and effective communication. Through The Literacy Hive LLC, my goal is to empower students and their families, educators, and others to strengthen the skills needed to expand opportunities and improve academic and professional achievement. By offering individualized services, we provide personalized support tailored to each person’s unique needs.
